This versatile wool tops (often referred to as roving) from Ashford is perfect for felting, spinning or use in thrummed projects. The wool is grown on farms in the South Island of New Zealand where the sheep graze on large grassy paddocks and are free from mulesing. The wool is washed using a standard aqueous treatment with eco-friendly biodegradable detergent, and processed by Ashford's own mill. It is dyed using ecologically-safe Oeko-Tex compliant dyes, then steam dried, carded, gilled, combed and finally wind into bumps.
